Special attention is given to ensure a high standard of morality and discipline in School. Parents are requested to co-operate with us to maintain order and discipline.
The purpose of regular attendance is to inculcate in the students traits of punctuality, regularity and academic discipline. Parents are expected to send their children regularly to the school as required. A student must have 95% attendance to be eligible for promotion.
Late arrival to school is a breach of discipline. A student who comes late to school must enter the date and time of arrival in the Regularity Record under "late".
Five late arrivals will result in parents being called to the office. They are to present a letter giving reason for the delay. Otherwise, the child will be obliged to return home during school hours.
Absence from the school without leave is not tolerated except when the cause is sudden illness or unforeseen circumstances in which case the information must be given at the earliest.
If a student is absent for fifteen consecutive days without an application, or for three days at the beginning of a term, his/her name may be struck off the rolls.
Parents / Guardians should give a prior intimation to the school on the 3 rd day of their ward's absence if she / he is likely to be absent for a longer duration.
Students should be present on the last working day before the start of any holidays and on the first working day after the holidays.
Students who have been absent from class must bring a letter from the parents stating the cause of absence besides filling in the school calendar. In case of illness exceeding three days, a Medical Certificate must be submitted along with a letter, which should be addressed to the Headmistress.
2. Parents should inform the School authorities if their child is suffering from any serious illness, chronic ailment, physical handicap or sensory defect (e.g. Heart disorder, or epilepsy etc.). Students suffering from any infectious disease must not attend the school. After recovery a medical certificate is to be submitted along with an application.
3. Any student desiring to be exempted from P.T. or games must produce a doctor's certificate to the effect that he / she is physically unfit to take part. This should also be mentioned in the school diary duly signed by the parent and authorized by the Headmistress.
4. Irregular attendance, unjustified absence or objectionable moral behavior justify dismissal.
5. Any form of corporal or mental punishment is not allowed.
6. No books other than the required text books may be brought to school.
7. Personal goods like school bag, water bottles, sweaters etc. should be marked with the owner's name.
8. The school is not responsible for the loss of personal goods. Students should not carry or wear expensive or valuable articles when coming to school.
9. No student should leave the school premises during class hours without the knowledge and permission of the principal.
10. Any damage to school property will have to be made good. The decision of the principal regarding the amount is final.
11. During school hours, students are not allowed to receive visitors or make phone calls or to answer a phone call. If the matter is very urgent, the message will be given.
12. Parents can meet the teachers only by appointment and with the permission of the Headmistress. A written application must be sent to the Headmistress. All communications with the teachers should be done only through the principal.
13. The parents may meet the Headmistress between 9.00 am and 10.30 am on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday to discuss matters concerning the progress of their child.
14. An Identity Card with a photograph of the student must be presented by every person collecting students from Nursery to Class II. The school is not responsible for the students beyond the school premises.
